how tight is too tight?

I received one of those mass mailed uni e-mails which I usually get just about every week. They mostly get deleted but today's e-mail got my attention.

"Australia has tightened security arrangements for
international air passengers with effect from 31 March 2007...result of the threat posed by liquid explosives following incidents in London."

"...liquids will only be allowed in carry-on baggage if they are in containers up to100ml in capacity and these containers are put in a one-litre, resealable transparent plastic bag."

First we can't bring in certain types of food. Now...no more carrying drinking water when I travel. So macam.
